Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information Peer Riaz Shah (“we”, “us”) collects through riazshah.online, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. We are the data controller for that information.

1. What we collect

  • Information you give us. Your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, the subject of your enquiry and anything you choose to write in your message or tell us during a consultation.
  • Technical information. If you consent to analytics cookies, we may collect your approximate location, device type, browser, pages viewed and how you reached the site. Without consent, none of this is collected beyond what our web host records for security in ordinary server logs.

We do not ask for, and you should never send us, financial details such as full card numbers, passwords or copies of identity documents through this website.

3. Sensitive information

Consultations often involve personal matters — family circumstances, health, faith, relationships. We treat everything you tell us as confidential. We do not record consultations, we do not keep detailed written notes of what is discussed unless you ask us to, and we never share the content of a consultation with anybody else.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. Information is only ever handled by:

  • Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its server logs.
  • WhatsApp (Meta), if you contact us that way. Your message is handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy terms as well as ours.
  • Your email provider and ours, if you email us.
  • Google, if you consent to analytics or advertising cookies, and for the web fonts used on this site (which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads).

We will also disclose information if we are legally required to do so, or where there is a serious risk to someone’s life or safety.

5. International transfers

We operate from Pakistan and take enquiries from the United Kingdom and elsewhere. Your information may therefore be handled in Pakistan and, in the case of the service providers listed above, in other countries. Where information about UK or EU residents is transferred, we rely on your consent and on the safeguards those providers put in place.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a consultation: up to 12 months.
  • Records of consultations (name, contact details, dates): up to 3 years, so we can help properly if you return.
  • WhatsApp and email conversations: for as long as the thread remains active, then deleted on request.
  • Analytics data, where consented: in line with Google’s standard retention settings.

7. Cookies

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies until you choose “Accept all” on the banner. Before then, Google’s consent signals are set to denied. We use:

  • Essential storage — remembering your cookie choice and your light or dark theme preference. This stays in your own browser.
  • Analytics cookies (optional) — to understand which pages are useful.
  • Advertising cookies (optional) — to measure whether our advertising works.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings, which will make the banner appear again.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or object to our using it. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email info@riazshah.online and we will respond within one month.

If you are in the United Kingdom and you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Children

This website and our consultations are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

10. Security

The website is served over HTTPS and access to enquiries is limited to Peer Riaz Shah. No system is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive material such as identity documents or financial details through this website.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
